I Capture the Castle - Dodie Smith - Canvas Shopper

An original hand-lettered design of the opening lines from Dodie Smith's inspirational classic I Capture the Castle: "I write this sitting in the kitchen sink. That is, my feet are in it, the rest of me is on the draining board".

I Capture the Castle was Smith's first novel, although she was already a well-known playwright. Her children's classic The Hundred and One Dalmatians is possibly the more famous title today, but I Capture the Castle was recently included in the BBC's list of the 100 most inspiring books.
