General Assistant

We need an assistant to help with all aspects of our online stores The Literary Gift Company and Present Indicative. The role may include supporting our customer service, copy-writing, marketing, bookkeeping, stock management, product development, product production, and more.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-1pm. Due to the nature of the role these hours are fixed (all year round). There is a chance of extra hours in November and December. This is not a role that can be undertaken remotely/from home.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Interest in academia and/or literature
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Customer service experience
  • Sense of humour

Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Retail experience
  • Bookkeeping/accounting
  • Data analysis
