From the 1974 Corgi edition of William S. Burroughs' surrealist novel, a series of loosely connected 'routines', based on the author's own experiences of addiction and drug use. Burroughs credits Jack Kerouac for suggesting the title, further stating "the title means exactly what the words say: naked lunch, a frozen moment when everyone sees what is on the end of every fork."
