The Lost Words Card Game

Based on the best-selling award-winning book of the same name, this simple and enjoyable card game has 80 large-size full colour cards which feature both the incredible illustrations of Jackie Morris and the acrostic poems of Robert Macfarlane.

The original book lamented the loss of the words of the natural world from children's lives - words such as Dandelion, Otter, Bramble and Acorn. The Lost Words stands against the disappearance of wild childhood and the fading of the rich landscape of wild imagination and wild play. It is a joyful celebration of nature words and the natural world they invoke, capturing the irreplaceable magic of language and nature for all ages.

The game has been created in conjunction with the authors. It is a family game for all ages and takes no more than about 20-25 minutes to play.
