Marbled Endpaper Gift Wrap - Turkish Blue-red

The Asian art of marbling paper reached Europe in the 17th century, and soon began to be used for the endpapers of books. "Turkish" marbling involves simply dropping a series of different colours onto the surface; later colours expand and constrict the earlier drops into streaks.  This one is in the kind of colours you would find in the earliest 15th Century examples.

These finely-printed matt surface sheets make luxurious gift wrap, but would also be fantastic for covering books or even lining drawers or shelves. Available as single folded sheets or rolled pack of five. Designer: Christopher Rowlatt.

  • Measures 48 x 70 cm; illustration shows 21 x 21 cm detail.
  • Single sheet comes folded, packs of five are rolled.
