Each card features a black & white portrait photograph of an author from the Penguin Modern Classics series. There are some unusual images of many of the authors, often taken at the time they were writing their most famous work; put a face to Carson McCullers or Jean Rhys, and meet a strangely young Waugh or Mailer.
