Call Me Ishmael Postcards

A hardcover book of twenty-four postcards (two each of twelve designs) featuring the famous opening lines of classic adults' and children's novels, each with its own parse tree. Modern parse trees are substantially based on the Reed-Kellogg system of 1877, which is used here, identifying the parts of speech in each sentence and their relationship.  The back of the postcard shows a fun illustration of the author and a key to the colour-coding used on the front, with plenty of space to write your own message.  Works appearing include Pride and Prejudice, Peter Pan, Mrs Dalloway, The Wind in the Willows, Jane Eyre, Anna Karenina and Moby Dick.

  • Hardcover book of 24 postcards
  • Measures 11 x 16 cm
